The Network Administrator is responsible for installing and maintaining hardware and software, conducting documents diagnosis and resolution of faults, and providing operational technical support services in order to ensure that the implementation, maintenance and resolution of issues related to computer technologies are conducted in an effective and efficient manner.

Position Responsibilities
• Analyse, interpret, develop and evaluate complex system design and architecture specifications, data models and diagrams in the development, configuration and integration of computer systems
• Manage user passwords security and inventory documentation
• Switch related tasks included implementing VLANS and configuring ISL trunk on Fast-Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet channel between switches
• Develop, improve and maintain RGIT’s Learner Management System (LMS) by conducting support activities such as generating reports and uploading learning materials
• Provide network and server support, and develop and improve RGIT’s network systems as well as the overall operating systems administration
• Assess and recommend improvements to network operations and integrated hardware, software, communications and operating systems
• Install, configure, test, maintain and administer new and upgraded networks, software database applications, servers and workstations
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and emergencies, maintaining trouble ticket tracking and backing-up the configurations on switches and routers
• Escalate procedures and customer notifications
• Prepare, update and maintain technical and logistical network documentation
• Monitor network traffic, activity, capacity and usage to ensure continued integrity and optimal network performance
• Ensure the efficient performance of servers, printers and computers and attend to other operational tasks
• Provide excellent customer service, relevant and accurate advice to students and staff on matters relating to departmental operations
• Uphold cultural responsiveness – be aware of, and responsive to, customers cultural needs
• Respond to queries from students and other stakeholders
• Report to the respective personnel relative data, when required
• Maintain confidentiality, composure and professionalism at all times
• Liaise and provide support to others, when required

The Receptionist/Student Administration Officer is responsible for supporting the maintenance of RGIT Australia’s Hobart campus by managing its office front desk and performing student administration tasks in an efficient and effective manner.
This is a full-time position.
